Fred: I... will do my best, Ma'am.
Kathy: Thank you. And you can start by laying off the "Ma'am" business.
Kathy: —You don't have to be so formal all the time!
Fred: I'm... afraid I do. It's all I know how to do.
Kathy: Well, we're going to have to work on that! So... are you ever going to actually propose to me?
B: Never Assume
Fred: Wh-wh-what? B-but we're already engaged! Why—
Kathy: I know. But a girl still likes to be asked! Being proposed to is a bit thing to a girl!
Kathy: Or am I supposed to ask you?
Fred: Well, um, I... I don't know. It... it never actually occurred to me... I just naturally assumed that... well... um...
Kathy: Ah, Lieutenant—! You're a very smart man... but you still have so much to learn—!
Fred: Yes, I do... and I'm sure that you will make an excellent teacher...
