A: Private Reserve
Kathy: Y'know, I've been wondering... where is everybody? How come we haven't seen any villages out here?
Fred: You're looking at one now. The Duchess set this valley aside as a reserve for grazers. They enjoy her protection in exchange for her... amusement, shall we say. She calls it "Giraffic Park."
B: Nudist Colony
The people here don't require houses. They live outdoors, according to their ancient, traditional ways. And they tend to run and hide whenever they see a Brigade uniform coming. You won't see them, unless they want to be seen.
C: Keeping Her Lunch Down
Sandy: If lions aren't allowed in Rackenroon— what about that guy we saw on the plane? The one who couldn't keep his lunch down?
Fred: Mm, well, yes... probably on his way to Roarwanda or Sierra Leone. Kilbasa is an international airport. We are bound by treaty to let them land there... but they are not allowed to leave the building.
Sandy: Then what's she doing here?
(lioness eating antelope, vultures circling)
