Sandy: There's the village... huh. Looks abandoned.
Fred: Not entirely. I think I know who lives there...
Fred: He's a geneticist... dabbling in bio-cyber interfaces. He had a bit of a falling out with the mainstream medical establishment... something about his ethics, or lack of... so he came out here so he could do his research in peace.
Kathy: You mean he's a mad scientist?
Fred: No— he's usually pretty cheerful.
