Sandy: He said that to you? What nerve! He doesn't deserve you!
Kathy: I dunno, Sandy... He seemed awful upset. I think I really did hurt his feelings.
Sandy: He's got feelings? This is news to me.
Kathy: Oh, come on! Show some compassion for once!
Sandy: Your compassion is what makes you a weirdness magnet.
B: Pity, or...?
Kathy: I just think I could have handled it better... he was telling me a little about his life here— it's miserable. I really feel sorry for the poor guy... he's so alone...
Sandy: Don't get too attached, Kath. It'll only make it that much harder to get you out of this mess.
Kathy: That's the thing... I'm not so sure that I want to get out of it, now...
