A: Knocked Him Into Next Wednesday
(Fred kneels, outside of the frame. A scrubbing bubble sweeps up broken glass from the fourth wall)
Kathy: What are you talking about?
Fred: I've been trying to goad you to anger, because I have observed that when you get really angry, you become very... effective. Maybe not one of my best ideas.
Sfx: whisk whisk whisk
(Fred climbs back into the comic through the fourth wall)
Kathy: So you've been playing me like a cheap fiddle?
Fred: I wouldn't exactly call you cheap...
B: We Laugh When We're Scared
Kathy: Well, you must have a very low opinion of me. Has it ever occurred to you that I'm scared shitless, and that I'm clowning around because I know exactly what I'm up against, and if I stop to think about it, I'll be totally overwhelmed— and that what I need from you right now is support and encouragement, not arrogance and abuse— because if I lose, we all lose. Don't you think I know that?
Kathy (raising sword): Now, Lieutenant— again.
