Songween: You're either a bleeding-heart liberal, or a military genius. She now owes you a debt of gratitude. And her honor code won't let her forget it.
Kathy: Well, that's good— I can use all the friends I can get!
Songween: Y'know, out here, people who are nice to other people end up assassinated by their own bodyguards. There's no such thing as "friends." There's allies, and there's minions. Be careful— don't let 'em think you're weak, or they'll walk all over you.
Kathy: Where I come from being nice isn't a sign of weakness.
B: Grandmotherly Advice
Songween: I was a lot like you when I started in this job. Idealistic. Then I got stabbed in the back so many times, I'm nothin' but scar tissue back there now.
Kathy: So you're saying I shouldn't be kind to people—?
Songween: Tell ya what. Do it both ways. It'll confuse the hell out of everybody!
