Fred: Forgive me, Ma'am, but thinking of these things is my job—
Sandy: You'll give yourself ulcers, Lieutenant.
Sandy: Life's short enough without imagining spooks behind every tree.
Fred: Better an imaginary spook than a genuine assassin's bullet, Ma'am.
B: Don't Trust Appearances
Sandy: Is this it—? It doesn't look like a very dangerous river to me!
Fred: This is a quiet stretch. It gets wilder and more dangerous the closer you get to Kiyanti... much like hyena society in general.
