What A Show!
Fred: Perhaps they weren't entirely competent... there was a time when we were putting on a gunnery demonstration for a conclave of all the Duchesses, and a live shell somehow got mixed in with the fakes... everyone in the gun crew was paralyzed with shock, and the shell would have come right down on the ship itself, had I not seized the comm and ordered the helm to turn hard to starboard...
Fred: I got into some trouble for that, but I did save the lives of the Duchesses and their entourages, and they were none the wiser. They thought that it was all part of the show.
