A:
Fred: On behalf of Carry On, our cartoonist, and myself, I would like to express our pleasure at winning the 2016 Ursa Major Award for Best Anthropomorphic Novel for "My Diary, by Frederick Usiku Kruger."
(silence)
Fred: That is all. You may now resume your regularly scheduled comic strip. Carry on.
TheAuthor: Aw, c'mere, you little scamp! We won! We won! WE WON!!!
FredL Madame! Please! Restrain yourself!
B: A Classical Education
Fred: In my Theatre Arts class in college, we covered all the classics— The Mercenary of Venice, Romana and Julian, A Wildebeest's Tail, Titties Androgynous, A Midsummer Night's Scream, As You Like It, Ma'am... For our final project, we staged a play and performed it in public. We chose "The Scottish Play."
Fred: Do you know, I have the distinction of being the first male hyena to ever play "Laddie MacDeth?" Traditionally, all the roles are played by sheyenas, but since I was the only hyena in my class, they gave me the lead. I was a huge hit. My parents were scandalized. It was glorious!
