Fisi: I was assigned to guard him, to make certain he did not try to escape. As a highly-trained warrior, you can imagine the contempt I felt for him...
Fisi: Your grandfather was not like a normal hyena male. He was an intellectual. He had a position at a university. The Brigade wanted him for his engineering expertise...
Fisi: He designed killing machines that were so efficient, they saved lives by reducing the number of troops needed to win a battle. Our enemies quickly surrendered. Your grandfather was hailed as a hero... He was also targeted for assassination.
Fisi: During the time I was assigned as his bodyguard, I came to appreciate his intellect, and to admire his wit and charm.
Fisi: When his life was threatened, I decided to marry him in order to insure his safety.
Kathy: That's not very romantic, Mama Fisi—!
Fisi: Romance has very little to do with hyena life, granddaughter.
