Later, Apollo hunted down and killed Python. But because Python was also an oracle, Apollo was forced to atone for his crime by becoming the slave of a moral man for a year. Ironically Apollo not only took over as the Delphic Oracle but sent two giant serpents to crush the prophet Laoccoon when he tried to warn the Trojans against bringing the wooden horse into the city walls because he suspected it was a trick...
